Bhubaneswar : A large protest rally was organized by the Biju Janata Dal (BJD) in Sundargarh, led by MLA Yogesh Kumar Singh, in response to the police's recent action of detaining villagers. The protest took place at the Barapali railway siding, where MLA Singh was opposing the illegal transportation of coal.
The rally saw participation from several prominent leaders, including Sonpur MLA Niranjan Pujari, Nayagarh MLA Arun Sahu, Debagarh MLA Romanch Ranjan Biswal, Rengali MLA Sudarshan Haripal, Padmapur MLA Barsha Singh Bariha, former MLA Snehaangi Chhuria, former MLA Deepali Das, and former MP Mangala Kishan Biramitrapur MLA Rohit Joseph Tirki.
The protest was a strong condemnation of the district administration and police's actions, highlighting the BJD's commitment to standing up for the rights of the local community.
