Devasnana Purnima Celebrated in Puri; Chief Minister Mohan Majhi Visits Shree Jagannath Temple
Lord Jagannath Adorned in Gajanan Besha After Ritualistic Bath with 108 Pots of Water
Bhubaneswar : The holy Devasnana Purnima is being celebrated today with great fervor in Puri. Lord Jagannath and his siblings will be adorned in the Gajanan Besha after a ceremonial bath with 108 pots of fragrant water. Rituals began at 4:30 AM this morning.
On the occasion of Snana Purnima, Chief Minister Mohan Majhi visited Shree Jagannath Temple in Puri. He offered prayers to the deities and wished for the well-being of the world. The Chief Minister also prayed for the smooth conduct of the upcoming Rath Yatra.
"So far, there have been no problems. All the programs of Mahaprabhu are being conducted smoothly by the administration and the servitors," said the Chief Minister. He expressed his satisfaction with the arrangements and the seamless execution of the rituals.
