Jajpur Sees Surge in Diarrhea Cases; Two Fatalities Reported
District Administration Takes Measures as More Patients Admitted to Hospitals

Bhubaneswar : The number of diarrhea patients in Jajpur is on the rise, with several new cases being admitted to medical facilities today. With two reported fatalities, including 62-year-old Sudarshan Patra from Takailo village in the Danagadi block and 65-year-old Tularam Sharma from the Baisanagar colony, over 500 individuals have been treated for the illness.
Residents from various villages in the district, including Baisanagar, Danagadi, Dharmshala, Rasulpur, and Korei blocks, have reported hundreds of cases of diarrhea. There are concerns that the number of patients may continue to increase. As fear spreads in the district, Jajpur District Collector conducted a review of the situation yesterday, directing the hospital to ensure the availability of additional doctors and sufficient medical supplies.
The district administration is taking proactive steps to manage the outbreak and provide necessary care to the affected individuals.
