20 Injured as Passenger Bus Overturns in Malkangiri’s Bijaghati Area
Bus was en route from Hyderabad to Kantabanji with 50 passengers

At least 20 passengers were injured after a private bus overturned in the Bijaghati area of Malkangiri district on Monday morning. The mishap occurred when the bus, named *Sri Balaji*, lost control while navigating a curve on the ghat road.
The bus was travelling from Hyderabad to Kantabanji and was carrying around 50 passengers at the time of the accident.
Local residents, along with police personnel, quickly responded to the incident. They assisted in rescuing the injured and arranged for their transportation to the nearest hospital for medical treatment.
While the injuries are reportedly not life-threatening, the exact condition of the victims is currently being assessed by hospital authorities.
The cause of the accident is still under investigation. Preliminary information suggests the driver may have lost control on the sharp bend of the ghat road, but further details will be confirmed following a police inquiry.
Authorities have assured that all necessary medical support is being extended to the injured passengers.
