Pension Hiked for Divyang and Senior Citizens, Rs 3,500 to Be Given from June
Over 4 Lakh Beneficiaries to Benefit from Increased Allowance

Bhubaneswar: Good news for Odisha’s Divyang (differently-abled) and senior citizens. Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi has announced that starting from June, eligible beneficiaries in these categories will receive an increased pension of Rs 3,500. This benefit will apply to citizens aged 80 and above.
The state government has issued directives to the District Social Security Officers (DSSOs) regarding the implementation of this hike. As per the announcement, 4,17,496 people will benefit from this new provision.
Following the formation of the BJP government in Odisha, several welfare initiatives have been launched for differently-abled, senior citizens, and other needy groups. Through various ambitious schemes, eligible citizens are being provided necessary support and financial aid.
