Minor Boy Stoned to Death Over Mobile Phone in Keonjhar

Bhubaneswar : In a shocking incident in Odisha's Keonjhar district, a minor boy was allegedly stoned to death by a youth over a dispute involving a mobile phone. The incident occurred in Raighati village under Soso police station limits of Anandpur sub-division.

The deceased has been identified as Ghosha Purty, son of Salia Purty, while the accused is Kundia Ho, a youth from the same village. According to reports, both had worked together outside the state where Ghosha’s phone was reportedly stolen. During the Raja festival, Ghosha discovered his stolen phone with Kundia, who later returned it.

Last Sunday, Kundia called Ghosha out, but the boy never returned. A day later, his body was found near Rugudi hill on the Mayurbhanj border. Ghosha's father lodged a police complaint alleging Kundia stoned his son to death. Police have launched a manhunt, but the accused remains at large. Investigation is ongoing.
