Fake Motivational Speaker Held for Burglary in Bhubaneswar

Bhubaneswar: The Commissionerate Police on Thursday arrested Manoj Singh, a self-styled motivational speaker, for his involvement in multiple burglary cases in the capital city.

Singh, who ran an online channel titled *“Change Your Life”* preaching against crime, was allegedly leading a double life. “During the day he posed as a motivational speaker, but at night he was engaged in burglaries,” said Suresh Dev Datta Singh, Commissioner of Bhubaneswar–Cuttack Police.

Police confirmed that over 10 criminal cases have been registered against him in various police stations across Bhubaneswar. Notably, on August 14, he reportedly looted 200 grams of gold jewellery from the Bharatpur area.

Following his arrest, police recovered 200 grams of gold ornaments along with Rs 1 lakh in cash from his possession. Investigations are underway to trace his involvement in other crimes.

Singh’s arrest has shocked many, as he misused his online platform to gain trust while pursuing illegal activities in the city.
