Police Probe Suspicious Role of Two Girls Seen on CCTV
Bhubaneswar: A youth was found dead under mysterious circumstances in Badagada Brit Colony of the Capital City on Thursday afternoon.
The deceased has been identified as Subham Panda alias Guddu, a native of Kuakhia village in Jajpur district. He was found hanging inside his rented house, where he lived after opening a shop in Bhubaneswar.
CCTV footage from the locality showed two young girls leaving the area in haste on a scooty (OD 02C Y0624) shortly before Subham’s body was discovered. Locals alleged the duo’s involvement, claiming they were inside Subham’s house and left with his mobile phone.
The incident triggered tension as residents staged protests demanding action. Corporator Santosh Kumar Singh reached the spot and took stock of the situation.
Badagada police have sent the body for post-mortem and launched a probe to determine whether it was suicide or murder.
