Milk Adulteration Racket Busted in Cuttack
Police Seize Tanker Filled with Contaminated Milk in Athagarh

Bhubaneswar : In a major crackdown on food adulteration, Gurudijhatia police busted a milk adulteration racket in Athagarh of Cuttack district.
Acting on a tip-off, police raided a milk tanker at Kuspangi under Gurudijhatia police station limits and seized large quantities of adulterated milk along with chemicals used for mixing. Reports revealed that the milk was being laced with salt, milk powder, and other harmful substances to artificially increase its volume and fat content.
The adulterated stock was reportedly being transported to a factory in Cuttack for further distribution. However, during the raid, the tanker driver and his helper managed to escape from the spot, leaving behind the contaminated milk and chemical ingredients.
Police have launched an investigation to identify and nab the culprits involved in the racket. Officials confirmed that strict legal action will be taken against those responsible for endangering public health through such practices.
