Tragic Road Mishap Claims Couple’s Lives in Boudh

Bhubaneswar : In a heartbreaking incident, a couple lost their lives after their car crashed into a stationary truck near Rambhikata under Boudh Adarsh Police Station in the early hours of Thursday.

The deceased have been identified as Raj Kishore Sahu and his wife Meena Rani Sahu, residents of Gania in Nayagarh district. The couple was returning home to attend the funeral of Raj Kishore’s father, Balbhadra Sahu, when the accident occurred.

Raj Kishore, a science teacher at Kumurkuri High School in Nuapada district, was en route with his wife to perform the last rites when their vehicle fatally collided with a stationary truck parked on the roadside.

Police from Boudh Adarsh station rushed to the spot upon receiving information, recovered the bodies, and sent them for post-mortem. A case has been registered, and an investigation into the cause of the accident is underway.
