PM Modi Unveils Odisha Vision 2036 & 2047, Launches Major Development Initiatives
Focus on transforming Odisha into a $1.5 trillion economy and cultural hub by 2047
Bhubaneswar : Prime Minister Narendra Modi today unveiled Odisha Vision 2036 & 2047 at a grand event in Bhubaneswar, marking the first anniversary of the BJP government in the state. Joined by Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi, Modi laid out a roadmap to make Odisha a $500 billion economy by 2036 and a $1.5 trillion economy by 2047.
On the occasion, the PM launched the ‘Baraputra Aitihya Grama Yojana’, aimed at developing the birthplaces of Odisha’s iconic personalities with a planned investment of ₹19,000 crore. He also released a booklet on the Godabarish Mishra Adarsh Prathamik Vidyalaya scheme to establish model schools in every panchayat.
Additionally, Modi inaugurated and laid foundation stones for 105 infrastructure projects worth ₹18,653 crore, launched seven railway projects, and flagged off 100 electric buses to boost urban mobility.
