Former CM to undergo procedure at Kokilaben Dhirubhai Ambani Hospital under supervision of Dr Ramakant Panda

Bhubaneswar : Odisha Leader of Opposition and Biju Janata Dal (BJD) president Naveen Patnaik has left for Mumbai to receive treatment for cervical arthritis at the Kokilaben Dhirubhai Ambani Hospital.
The former Chief Minister had earlier disclosed his health condition and upcoming procedure through a post on social media platform X. The 77-year-old leader is undergoing treatment for cervical arthritis, an age-related condition that affects the neck’s bones and joints.
In his statement, Patnaik wrote, “As advised by medical experts, I will undergo a procedure for cervical arthritis on the 22nd of this month. My personal doctor Dr Ramakant Panda is coordinating the process. With the blessings of Lord Jagannatha and the good wishes of my brothers and sisters from Odisha, I look forward to returning soon to continue serving you all.”
Patnaik, who has led the state for over two decades, recently stepped down from his role as Chief Minister after the 2024 assembly elections, but continues to play a prominent role in Odisha politics as Leader of the Opposition.
