Bhubaneswar : Eminent journalist, writer, and social worker Niranjan Rath passed away at a private hospital in Cuttack on June 19, at the age of 78. Rath, who was serving as the national secretary of Loksevak Mandal, died at 11 PM after a prolonged illness.
A towering figure in the field of Odia journalism, Rath was widely respected for his editorial leadership as the former editor, publisher, and printer of the daily newspaper ‘Samaj’.
