NTPC Bolsters AIIMS Bhubaneswar with Vital Medical Support
CSR initiative worth Rs.63.59 lakh aims to enhance patient care and hospital efficiency

Bhubaneswar : In a major step to upgrade public healthcare services, NTPC Ltd., Eastern Region-II Headquarters, Bhubaneswar, has donated essential medical equipment worth Rs. 63.59 lakh to AIIMS Bhubaneswar under its Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) initiative.
The contribution includes:
* 50 Rapid Emergency Recovery Trolleys
* 60 Folding Wheelchairs with Cushions
* 60 Stretchers on Trolleys
* 50 AYUSH Fixed-Height Overbed Tables
These advanced tools are designed to improve patient mobility, emergency response, and bedside care at the premier healthcare institute.
The medical equipment was officially handed over by Shri Arindam Sinha, Regional Executive Director (East-II), NTPC, to Prof. (Dr) Ashutosh Biswas, Executive Director and CEO of AIIMS Bhubaneswar, during a ceremony held on Wednesday.
Shri Sinha highlighted NTPC’s commitment to contributing meaningfully to society, stating, “Health and education are our CSR focus areas. This initiative is part of our responsibility to support institutions that serve the public at large.”
Prof. (Dr) Biswas expressed sincere appreciation, noting that the equipment will significantly improve both patient comfort and operational efficiency at the hospital. “Such support helps us deliver quality healthcare more effectively,” he said.
This initiative marks NTPC’s continued collaboration with public institutions to improve infrastructure and create a lasting impact on community well-being. The PSU remains dedicated to strengthening essential services across India through targeted CSR efforts.
