AirIndia crashed : 133 died
The flight heading to London was involved in the accident during takeoff : 133 people have lost their lives.
Bhubaneswar: A major plane crash occurred in Ahmedabad, Gujarat, on Thursday. The Air India flight heading to London was involved in the accident during takeoff. It is reported that there were 242 passengers on board at the time of the incident.
According to information, the flight took off from runway 23 at Ahmedabad airport at 1:39 PM. During takeoff, the pilot sent a MAYDAY signal to the nearby ATC, but no response was received from ATC. Just a few seconds after takeoff, the aircraft crashed outside the airport premises.
In this accident, 133 people have lost their lives, including 52 British passengers. There were a total of 242 passengers on the flight, among whom 169 were Indian, 53 were British, 7 were Portuguese, and 1 was a Canadian citizen.
After the accident, arrangements were made to evacuate people at the airport and send them via the Vande Bharat Express.
