Miscreants Wield Swords in Puri
Sweet Stall Vandalized, Cash Looted in Broad Daylight

Bhubaneswar : Puri’s Saradhabali area witnessed chaos today when a group of armed miscreants brandished swords and vandalized a sweet stall near the local bus stand.
According to reports, three youths stormed into the stall owned by Soumya Ranjan Patra, searching for his younger brother. Failing to find him, they terrorized employees, damaged the shop, and looted around Rs 5,000 from the counter. A large stock of ‘Khaja’, a traditional sweet, was also destroyed during the attack.
The miscreants, identified as Saswat Mohanty, Sambit Mohanty, and Bishnu, fled the spot soon after the incident. Patra alleged that the assault was linked to an earlier argument between his brother and the accused at a local temple.
On being informed, Kumbharpada police rushed to the scene, reviewed CCTV footage, and began an investigation. However, no arrests have been made so far.
