Son Injured in Koraput Road Accident Dies Two Days After Mother

Bhubaneswar : Two days after a road mishap claimed the life of a woman, her son, who was injured in the same accident, succumbed to his injuries on Tuesday.

The accident occurred when a 14-wheeled truck carrying goods lost control and rammed into a stall along National Highway 26 near Bariniput under Jeypore police limits. While the elderly woman died on the spot, her son Rabi Swain sustained serious injuries.

Rabi was admitted to a hospital in Visakhapatnam for treatment but passed away while undergoing care. His death has left behind two children, aged 8 and 4, who are now orphaned.

The double tragedy has shocked the local community, while police have launched an investigation to ascertain the exact cause of the accident.
