Kuchinda Tehsildar Suspended Over Land Dispute Allegations
Revenue Department Takes Action After Complaint by Local Resident
Bhubaneswar : The Revenue Department has suspended Kuchinda Tehsildar, Mitali Madhusmita Dalei, following allegations of bias in handling a land dispute case. The suspension order directs her to report to the Sambalpur District Collector’s office until further notice.
The action came after a complaint by Rajesh Agarwal, a local resident, who accused Dalei of favouring his cousins during the partition of ancestral property. Agarwal claimed that his cousins falsely registered mutation cases by declaring him and his family members dead, thereby gaining possession of properties belonging to late Jagdish Lal Seth.
Agarwal further alleged that Dalei approved the documents without serving him proper notice, which allowed the property transfer to occur without his knowledge or consent.
Taking note of the complaint submitted to the Chief Minister, the Revenue Minister, and the Northern Revenue Commissioner, the department suspended Dalei pending investigation. Officials confirmed that the case is now under detailed inquiry.
