Bhubaneswar : A shocking incident has rattled Veer Surendra Sai University of Technology (VSSUT) as a final-year mechanical engineering student, Anjaneya Das, was found dead under mysterious circumstances on Tuesday morning.
Reports state that Das, a resident of Jajpur district, left his hostel, Pulastiya, around 2 am but never returned. His body was later discovered under the Power Canal (PC) Bridge near the university campus with multiple injuries. He was immediately taken to Burla Hospital, where doctors declared him dead on arrival.
The police reached the spot soon after receiving the information and have launched a detailed investigation into the incident. The exact cause of Das’ death remains unclear, and authorities are probing whether foul play was involved. Das’ family suspects that he may have been murdered.
