Two Minor Brothers Drown in Pond in Kalahandi
Tragic incident at Gunchipadar village leaves locality in shock
Bhubaneswar : In a heart-wrenching incident, two minor brothers, aged 6 and 8, drowned in a pond at Gunchipadar village under Bhawanipatna Sadar police station in Kalahandi district. The children were reportedly playing near the pond when the mishap occurred, leading to their untimely death.
On being informed, police personnel from Bhawanipatna Sadar station and a fire services team rushed to the spot and recovered the bodies from the pond. The remains of the two minors were later sent to Bhawanipatna District Headquarters Hospital for postmortem.
The tragic deaths have cast a pall of gloom over the entire locality, with residents mourning the loss of the young lives.
