Focus on Investment and Industrial Expansion
Bhubaneswar: Tata Steel Managing Director T.V. Narendran met Chief Minister Mohan Majhi at Lok Seva Bhawan to discuss mutual cooperation and new investment opportunities in Odisha.
Narendran highlighted Odisha’s rich mineral base, strategic location, and supportive policies that make it ideal for large-scale industry. With Tata Steel’s Kalinganagar plant already a major facility, the company is exploring further expansion and value-added steel projects.
Chief Minister Majhi assured full government support while stressing employment generation and skill development for local youth. Sustainability and green technologies were also discussed, aligning with Odisha’s vision for eco-friendly industrial growth.
Narendran reaffirmed Tata Steel’s long-term commitment to Odisha, stating that future collaborations will boost both the company’s operations and the state’s economic development.
