OMC Sets 50 Million Tonne Mineral Production Target for FY 2025-26
Rs 30,000 Cr Revenue Goal, Bauxite Output Boost and Pellet Plant Plans in Focus

Bhubaneswar : The Odisha Mining Corporation (OMC) has set an ambitious target to produce 50 million tonnes of minerals and generate ₹30,000 crore in revenue in the 2025-26 fiscal year. This was discussed at a high-level review meeting chaired by Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi.
The state PSU also aims to produce 3.6 million tonnes of bauxite in the same period, with plans to scale up to 6 million tonnes the following year. A proposal for setting up a pellet plant by 2026 is under consideration, with a Government of India agency preparing the feasibility report.
The Chief Minister stressed employment generation and improvement of living standards in mineral-rich areas. OMC has been directed to create a focused development strategy for these regions by converging existing welfare schemes.
