Bhubaneswar-Koraput Vande Bharat Train Soon
Over ₹5,000 crore disbursed to 1 crore women beneficiaries under third installment of scheme
Bhubaneswar : Koraput will soon get direct Vande Bharat train connectivity with Bhubaneswar, Chief Minister Mohan Majhi announced during the Subhadra Yojana money distribution programme in Jeypore on Saturday. The CM said the service will boost connectivity and development in the region.
He also announced plans to revive the Jeypore paper mill and set up a new college in the area. On the occasion of Raksha Bandhan, students of Parabeda Saraswati Bidya Mandir tied Rakhis to the CM.
Under the third installment of the Subhadra Yojana, ₹5,000 crore was disbursed via DBT to 1 crore women beneficiaries across Odisha, including over 2,000 in Koraput district. The event at Bankabija in Jeypore saw heavy security, with 30 platoons of police deployed. The CM said the scheme will empower women and strengthen rural economies.
